​Paul Barton

Head of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)

​​Paul Barton joined the business as Head of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) in January 2025 with responsibility for taking forward ESD’s SHE culture, Behaviours, Delivery and compliance. Paul is a Graduate of Strathclyde, Lancaster, Salford and De Montfort Universities and has held global positions in the SHE arena for 32 years, promoting and contributing to improving global standards in a number of sectors including construction, utilities, renewable energy and energy generation and storage. He previously worked within the enforcement function with the Health and Safety Executive and within Local Government as an EHO which has given him unique insights as to how the legalities of our operations are inspected and enforced.
